Mandeep Singh

Educator-writer · Qualified Teacher of Mathematics · Founder of MandeepEducates

Mandeep Singh runs MandeepEducates, a platform that offers clear and considered insights on education for parents, educators, students, tutors — and anyone who simply cares about how young people learn and grow. His writing and speaking centre on the questions families actually face: choosing between independent schools, understanding childhood itself, weighing A-levels against the IB, and preparing for a world of work that is changing faster than school timetables are.

Mandeep is a Qualified Teacher of Mathematics, trained under the King Edward's Consortium. He has been teaching and advising families since 2014, across the UK and internationally, on school selection, subject choices, academic development and university strategy.

He is currently completing an MSc in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford, where his research explores how students' belief in their own ability — their self-efficacy — shapes their engagement and academic outcomes. That research underpins his work: alongside academic expertise, the development of confidence, independence and long-term ambition.

Through his consultancy, The Scholar, he puts this into practice day to day, working closely with families whose children attend — or aspire to attend — schools and universities across the UK and internationally. He has supported families from a range of backgrounds, including those with children at the world's leading educational institutions: Eton College, Harrow School, Westminster School, St Paul's Girls' School, Wycombe Abbey, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge and Harvard University. It is hands-on experience that keeps MandeepEducates grounded: everything he writes and speaks about is tested against the reality of real families making real decisions.

"Education is about more than grades. It is about building confident, resilient young people equipped to succeed wherever their ambitions take them."

— Mandeep Singh, Founder & Director

His aim is simple to say and demanding to do: make good thinking about education accessible to the people who need it most. Alongside the platform, he regularly publishes articles on LinkedIn and is launching the MandeepEducates Podcast on YouTube — conversations and essays that give parents and educators the clarity to make confident decisions about the young people in their care.

Mandeep's aims
