Barnaby Lenon CBE is one of the UK’s most experienced and influential education leaders. He spent 12 years as Head Master of Harrow School, previously taught at Eton College, and later helped establish the highly successful London Academy of Excellence. He served for 13 years as Chairman of the Independent Schools Council and has been a governor of 25 state and independent schools. He was awarded a CBE for services to education and received the 2025 TES Lifetime Achievement Award.

Former Head Master of Westminster and Rugby Schools

Patrick Derham is one of the most distinguished figures in British independent education, having served as Head Master of Westminster School from 2014 to 2020 and, before that, as Head Master of Rugby School for 13 years. Earlier in his career, he led Solihull School and taught history at Radley College. Throughout his career, Patrick has also been closely involved with initiatives focused on widening educational opportunity and access to leading schools.
